For what it's worth: Saint Anselm wrote "Cur Deus Homo" (=Why God Became Man) in the 11th Century.

I loved "Sapiens" and much of "Homo Deus" but disagreed with his views on humanism.

Harari argues that humanism is a form of religion that worships humankind instead of a god - Wikipedia.

Is this what you disagreed with? Do you view humanism as essentially secular?

@brentan I do view humanism as essentially secular and he seems to give it a lot more significance than I can see evidence for.
