Is there a way to quote someone when replying to posts? I've just been using the old email way,

like this,

but lots of forums have ways that make it look a lot nicer and more distinguished nowadays.

Good question. I usually end up copying and pasting and using italics or something. But, I've only done it once or twice.

If I was running and financing a site, I think I'd not code it in. While it makes it easier for us, it can severely clog a thread -- to say nothing of the additional storage.

Thanks for your input.

I doubt the impact on storage costs would be that significant. If I were financing a site, I think I'd be more concerned about facilitating communication and growth than that.

I think a quoting mechanism would help that, but I guess it's debatable.
