This is from my friend Beckie Saltzman. She said;

Curiosity. This is how it works.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Martin Luther King Jr

How do we humans judge chatacter? Do other animals judge character? If so, how? How do you judge character? Do you judge differently when you feel that your life depends on it? Your kid’s life? Do you judge character differently for people who agree with you? Specifically how should we judge character?

Should we ignore race? Should we ignore what we see? How are these two questions different? Has this quote been used to challenge things like affirmative action initiatives?

Should we take quotes literally? How does time and history factor into what MLK said? How does time and history factor into what the US Constitution says? How does it factor into things we have said?

Tribe of the Curious members will recognize this curiosity lube because it’s like Quick Curiosity Monday (QCM). Right?

When you feel a black woman's skin it will feel smooth, soft, and cold to your touch. Your skin will feel hot and rough to her.

Probably has something to do with the ambient temperature.

Yes,I am going back to Africa. To the Shit Countries. Donald Trump (yes, I read his book back in the 80's) and Teressa May, stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got better things to do than you.

We as humans unfortunately have the capacity for racism. But let's really look at it from a biological perspective. What happens if a man from Africa has a child with a Norwegian woman. You get a human. What happens if you have a woman from China and she has a child with an Brazilian. You get a human.

When a poodle breeds with a pit bull you get a dog. The dogs don't care about "breed" they see another dog. A cow brown cow is a cow to a black and white cow.

We are all human and scientists now say race does not actually exist in the context we understand it. Some traits are passed down from one generation to another as part of the evolutionary process but we are still all human.

All we are left with is our actions and how we interact with other humans. This may be what we call character.

We live our lives based on our experiences. Trying to be the best we can be. No one has all the answers and no one is wrong in their way if thinking (as long as their thoughts don't hurt anything). Live every moment to its full potential and be happy. Life is too short.
