I honestly can’t wrap my mind around why would people still stick to a religious group that has protected rapist for hundreds of years. It makes me mad.

There are so many different Christian "sects" that the vast majority maintain that what happened to their priests was simply an isolated incident and not an indictment on the men who seek the office. Now Catholics? I have no idea, but I imagine most of them must be pretty disgusted with leadership. Then again, self-hatred is a wonderful Catholic principle!
