Odd that many who embrace the discoveries of science will disagree only when results conflict with their politics or religion

  • Dr Neil Degrasse Tyson.

This is why I get annoyed when people claim miracles at the hospital after receiving treatment, ot they thank God for allowing the doctor to save them.
Religious people don't believe in evolution but trust the weather channel , where the same scientific method was use for the predictions.

It's interesting how folks who reject science as nonsense when it contradicts their political preferences don't go to their priests when they get sick. They go to their doctor (a professional scientist). These folks totally rely on science to save their lives but disregard it when it is convenient and they are much older than third graders..?

I believe the word your looking for is delusional, with levels of insanity varying from mild to severe!!!

Actually, our models for predicting weather are woefully inaccurate and becoming worse.

I firmly believe you should research and fact-check everything especially if you want it to be true.

I consider myself a liberal, but am annoyed by the number of liberals who cite the science behind climate change, but don't believe in the science behind GMOs or pharmaceuticals, or worse yet believe in essential oils and crystals.

The weaher channel is more like Fun with Maps and Pointers. And miracles in hospitals are a wonderful examples of the resiliency of the human bady and metabolism.
