Your comment made me think of when I was a little girl...I would look in a mirror and wonder about the fact that i was looking out from behind my eyes...but I could see everyone else...but not me...lol. I know that sounds crazy...it fascinated me at the time....part of growing up I guess.

I’m often reminded of how little distance we’ve come from the animal kingdom, running on pure instinct. Clever Apes… The distance between what some know, as well as the desire of those wanting to know more ... and the rest of humanity is ..daunting.

We’ve spectacular talents and opportunity yet remain linked to such primitive behavior as to seriously doubt our staying power. If only those qualified could in some way escape to the next level … instead of sharing our destiny with the occupants of a Walmart..

I wouldn't say unlikely because we don't really know enough to assign a probability to "this whole existence thing" but otherwise I agree. It feels pretty special to exist even though it is not special at all.
