Had a patient who's life was maintained through mechanical assistance. On different occasions we performed CPR (code blue). After the 4th time and dad had diminished to nothing but a brainstem maintaining breathing and a heartbeat. The daughter who instructed us to fight tooth and nail to keep him alive. Was praised by her desire to keep him alive. She responed " he was a bastard to me when I was growing and he can die when I decide." There is a warning to be good to your kids.

Totally true the stories I could tell is unreal. Family dynamics at it's worst. E.R. things that sounds made up.
