Unfortunately, I agree with you. What I find particularly appalling is that 45 supporters seem to really like the idea of violence. I keep trying to tell those who are calling for another civil war, that they really need to rethink that "strategy", and that they are not the only ones who exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.
I also try to point out that the military is not likely to be on their side.

Telling them "don't start none, won't be none", is falling on intentionally deaf ears.

@silverotter11 The majority of the military, especially higher ranking officers, have no use for 45. If he actually tried turning the military on the populace, it's far more likely that they'd turn on him. Most members of the military realize that he's a moron. I have more faith in their honor to country than to some 5-time deferment, draft-dodger.

I have to pay attention. I know a lot of people are completely worn out with this bullshit, but I'm not one of them. I also feel like things are escalating, and some of us need to pay attention. Just so we can give the rest of y'all a heads up when the shit is about to hit the fan.
