I'm cutting down on my coffee and I've been experimenting with making a hot drink for myself using lemongrass as the main flavour. So far I've added small slices of ginger root with the lemongrass to change it up. It took me a few tries to find the right amount as the ginger tended to overpower the lemongrass.

I'm also trying mint leaves, which I like, but again the right amount is tricky or it overpowers the lemongrass.

What I'm looking for at the moment is a herb or root to give it a bit sweeter flavour for when I drink it cold.

Any suggestions?

Don't you like lemongrass alone?
Its cultural for me to drink lemongrass tea for digestion benefits. Like after a heavy meal.
I have three plants growing right now. I'm not sure if it's TRUE, but I have read that it also repels mosquitoes.
.... hummmm.... do you even have mosquitoes in Canada? ??

Oh love the lemongrass, but mixing it up my flavours.

Our mosquitos are serious. You swat them you better kill em, cause they're huge and hold a grudge. ?

I think you can buy a commercially made tea like that.

Oh ya I can get something like it I'm sure, but this way I get the taste I like, know what's in there and can make big batches to keep on hand and take on my rides.

stevia leaf

Might be perfect. Thanks!

Beat me to it! Now I can only suggest vodka. 😛

@MiltsterD try it yet?

@hankster no actually. I'm still working on the last batch I made. I will be though!

@MiltsterD I'm just kind of teasing you. I am curious about it though.
