The idea that a Biblically compatible version of Jesus Existed in a historical context is absolutely absurd.

There is a mythos that predates Jesus by thousands of years. A long list, as early as ancient Egypt and on of people virgin born, savior types, miracle workers, and rising from the dead. Many were philosophically similar.

Yes it is, which renders the whole mythicist debate kind of superfluous. Even if Jesus was real, he didn't raise the dead and walk on water. I enjoy that debate just for the fun of it though.

The title reminds me of a polite debate I had with a theist (priest) a few weeks ago. . . He admitted there was no evidence to support any supernatural claims.
