This is true in the sense that the planet doesn't "care" if it's an uninhabitable hell-hole. If it becomes one, it will in a sense "lose" too, but that is only a loss that can be perceived by and that matters to humans.

Climate change deniers generally have a religion-fueled sense of entitlement to a habitable earth, and often will even argue that god is in charge of nature and would "never allow" puny humans to destroy nature. This is so delusional even by Christian standards that I don't even know where to start in debunking it ...
