Sadly, a lot of people try to discourage activism and they don't even realize they are doing it. It's a form of sloth.

I can see that. Most people don't want to rock the boat or feel there is nothing they can do about a certain topic and, therefore, impose their decision upon others who have chosen to make a stand.
