Just bought some bottled water, canned food, candles, an emergency lantern and a 1,300 lumen flashlight in preparation for the possible landfall of hurricane Florence. Wishing that Flo goes out to sea and stays there. Hoping all you folks in Flo's projected path remain safe. If asked to evacuate, please do so. Don't take unnecessary risks.

For water, I got a water filter that can filer out microbes and viruses. Franted Ihve to punp it by hand, bit it will last longer than a few cases of bottled water.

My concern livign in the Pacific Northwest is a big earthquake form teh subduction fault a few miles off the coast running from North California up to Alaska. They say it can register higher than a 9 on the Richter scale... if it goes.

@RobLawrence I live quite a bit inland near Portland, OR. So, the mountains in between will absorb a lot of the shaking. People on the coast though will very likely have to deal with a tsunami.

Whereabouts in Delaware are you? My ex-wife's family lives in Georgetown, and some in Dover.

@RobLawrence My wife and kids and I went to Georgetown (and also Rehoboth, of course) about once a year for 20 years, so I'm pretty familiar with the area.
