I'm just off a night shift about to have my breakfast before bed and a work colleague texts me. She's not happy that I've set up her anaesthetic room for the morning list. To be clear nothing is wrong, she's texted me because she just doesn't like the way I did it. My way essentially, as I'm not a mind reader! My response, I'm happy to have this conversation with you another day but right now isn't convenient for me and I'm really not in a giving a fuck mood. I think that's appropriate for when you text someone after a night shift with a spurious comment! The equivalent being I call her at home at 1am and ask her what she'd perfer ecg leads in her tray or by the side? I shit you not that's what I just got! I mean for all she knows we could have had a death in the night! ?

Everyone knows ecg leads should be by the side and never on the tray! 🙂

I got called in once by my supervisor, following a 12-hour shift. When I arrived, he accused me of taking my time, but not shaving (like you, I'd just completed a night shift), then said there were complaints that the job I was never trained for wasn't performed correctly, and threatened to have me removed from the job I didn't want. Totally understand your fresh-outta-fucks attitude.
