This is interesting to me. Should black face be used as a form of respect for an artist while performing?

nope its steeped in racism we should be well passed the point of trying to justify something we know to be inherently offensive to any societal group

Absolutely not.

It would make me nervous as all get-out. That kind of caricature has got to be offensive to Blacks.

Let’s go with mutual respect.

"Hamilton" has black artists playing white men, so why can't a white person convey the role of a black artist? Using black face is an insult to our 21st century intelligence.

They don't put on white face either and there's no historically (or contemporarily) racist connotation in THAT.
