I got frustrated with my special lady last night and punched my steering wheel quite hard in anger. She got scared and ran away indoors and shut the door behind her. I tried to call but she wouldn't respond but she did eventually saying she's been scared in previous relationships and don't want to be scared anymore. The reason for my out burst was because we were due some quality time which is very far and few between (2-3 hours once a week) as we don't live together and it got messed up due to baby sitting problems for her 16 year old daughter with her 20 year old daughter coming home very late. I've never even raised my voice to her let alone a hand and I am no woman beater yet I feel like I screwed up and now it feels like the trust has gone. Not sure what to do to get the trust back.

You shouldn't have punched anything in front of a lady. ? It would have scared me too.

I've learnt my lesson it was the first and last time.

Violence against Things can easily escalate to violence against persons unlucky enough to be in the vicinity, as those of us who survived it know all too well. You assaulted a car part over babysitting problems? Ummm, I would be out of there too, and getting a restraining order...

Thanks.

Many years ago when trying to save my marriage I ordered dr. John Gray Men Are from Mars Women Are from Venus and I was taught that there are three phases to an apology first you have to sincerely and abjectly apologize then you have to tell why you're apologizing and then you have to explain to her why it's never going to happen again in the future

I actually did all three of those without knowing 🙂

  1. I sincerely apologised
  2. I was thoroughly ashamed to have scared her
  3. She is my dream and future and to lose her would kill me

She replied - You'll never lose me you are stuck with me forever now ♥

@ that is some excellent work my friend now all you have to do is make sure that it never happens again

@Nardi
Great start, from a hopeful romantic.

Yes, a big mistake, if you deeply care about this woman. Yet knowing a violent act, even if it was on a steering wheel, she would react harshly to.

Women love to hear sorry, this is the best time to get on your hands and knees and beg for forgiveness.

Don't know you, if you have ever hit a woman. Strick everything I said, forget about it, it won't happen.

Other things to consider is a woman with 2 kids at home and only gives you only 2-3 hours a week of your time together. Ask yourself, if you can do better.

@Donotbelieve
Only when you have made a serious mistake, like in this case.

When and where did you ever find a man that doesn't make a mistake in an emotional love relationship along the way?

Unless it in a movie like Love Story.
Love is never having to say your sorry. Wished we all could lived in a love movie.

@Castlepaloma I have often thought if I could do better but the answer is that I really love her and don’t want anyone else. She would have to dump me. This was a good opportunity for her to do that but she didn’t. I still feel shitty though and won’t ever make that mistake again. My lesson has been learnt.

@Donotbelieve
I referring to this case.

People in general love to hear a sincere apologies to any serious mistake.

We are not all Canadains here.....
Just a little joke.

@Nardi
Sometimes a women can almost drive me insane. I go to the woods alone and have my shit fit and gather my thoughts and work it out.

You can't beat love and work. Give it all you got.

@Castlepaloma Having too much experience with people who are always right and wouldn't know how to express genuine contrition until the moment they're about to be dropped into a volcano I much appreciate a sincere apology, A LOT.
People who insist on being "right" all the time are dishonest, period. NO ONE is ever RIGHT ALL THE TIME! Except liars.

Slowly,carefully,words and deeds,take her out to eat at a special place, she is like the Dog who has been beaten cowering when you raise your hand, if she values the relationship,she will accept your outburst,we all get frustrated with whatever life throws our way,her history with previous Men caused this reaction.

Yes I understand that, it was a moment of stupidity. I will try but if don't go anywhere i have only myself to blame.
