Here's a striking difference between Democrats and Republicans today. I have NO doubt that if the Dems were in charge and had hearings on a favorite Supreme Court nominee who then was accused of sexually assaulting a girl in their high school days, there would at least be a call for an FBI investigation into the matter before any vote for confirmation.
The Dems have their problems too, but make no mistake, in this day and age, the Dems have the moral high ground over Republicans in nearly every sense. Republicans have shown little to no character. This is not just an opinion, but true by any objective measure of morality.
If you are a Republican and are not ashamed of your party, then you are in fact one of the deplorables.

I also wonder how come we have so many cases of sexual misconduct coming up in this time period. How come the guys don't know that sure you can be interested in woman but the line is not to touch? An how come the women are not reporting abuse right away - but things come up sooo much later? It's all out of balance.
I agree with your comment about the lack of character of the Republicans. When it comes to using the term "deplorables" my friendly opinion is that it's not a winning strategy to use it - it sure looks like it did not do Hillary any good. I think the best activity is to expose bad behaviour. Most people will be great at making a judgement and stating condemnations.
