"With those that have wronged you, seek peace not justice. When you find peace, you will not need justice. If you find justice first, you will still seek peace. The allure of justice is the myth that it will bring peace.

It is not easy, but I swear that from this day forward, I will try to seek peace with all. I will seek to quell the anger that demands justice. And though I may fail, I am sorry for my shortcoming and am sorry for anything I may do that troubles our peace." ~ Me, 2 days before my divorce was finalized

On Tuesday, I celebrate my 5th “Unoversary”. I call it that as a reminder that I need to look out for me and take care of me and that I need to never lose myself in a relationship again. This week, my ex-wife contacted me for the first time in years to ask me to write a letter supporting her appeal to the military to change the status of her discharge. So today, I sit down and Facebook reminds me to seek peace. I guess I’ll write a truthful, persuasive appeal on her behalf. It won’t be nice and the tone may hurt her, but I can’t think of a way to be “nice”, truthful and persuasive at the same time. It is nice being able to do things with a clear conscience.

I have had hate in my heart ?? for 36 years,I don't think it will ever diminish.I don't think you can ever forgive betrayal and being befriended. If I could be hypnosis to have it wiped from my mind I would.
