This is so sad that it has happened on Nobel Prize week.
Both stories appeared a day apart on my news feed.

Thanks for his contributions to our learning.

Fucking terrible anyone has to struggle to pay for medical care. Only completely heartless fuckers are against free universal health care. Simple as that. They should be ashamed.

I remember when arguing against universal health care one U.S. Senator said that a person like Stephen Hawkings would never have received the care he did in England... than Stephen Hawkings replied he was English, not American and the UK is where he got his care.

It has been pointed out that in a "for profit" medical system that it is in the interest of the health care industry to keep peopel sick to make more money than it is to cure them. That is why most industrialized countries hve universal health care. You get better care for less money.

Damn that is terrible. Such a mind and human being that could not get medical care. We in this nation are absolutely going down the sewer. We have opted to vote anti climate, anti evolution, anti humanity and then treat our scholars less valuable than a football person.

Wow, a Nobel prize winner struggling with medical bills. In what kind of backwards banana republic was he living?
