This, I love Professor Beard. The book is a move away from her usual exquisite examination of the classics but it explains why women's position was reduced to second class and kind of remains there. My partner bought it for me because he is a feminist and a super lovely guy.

I have it but have not yet started reading. At this point it is third on the pile. I saw her interview Hillary Clinton, I think, she was great. Can't wait to get to the book, but I have to finish the one I am reading now first. Time Reborn by Lee Smolin. Trying to figure out how to get past an impasse in my research.
