Quaker Parrots have proven highly adaptable and live in the wild up North here, and not just the deep South like most parrot species that have made a home in North America. Owning one in Pennsylvania is against the law as they are classified as an invasive species. Some years back a group, trying to stay warm in the winter, blew out a transformer station in NYC causing a black out over a few blocks.
