Parrots are very smart. Quaker Parrots have proven highly adaptable and live in the wild up North here, and not just the deep South like most parrot species that have made a home in North America. Owning one in Pennsylvania is against the law as they are classified as an invasive species. Some years back a group, trying to stay warm in the winter, blew out a transformer station in NYC causing a black out over a few blocks.
