So it is time again for me to give one of my favorite lessons in class. It always gets a big reaction and generates a lot of discussion.

Women are stronger and tougher on a mental and emotional level than men, and in most cases, smarter to boot. At this point I have boys screaming, sort of proving my point, and girls giving knowing smiles. I point out that even if it were possible for men to give birth, they would not. I point out that men would not be able to continue on as if everything were normal when struck monthly by crippling cramps. I point out that would not stand for doing all of the work but getting none of the credit. I point out that men could not suffer the derision that many woman suffer from the patriarchy on a daily basis. I point out that if their dad says no, they will go to their mom, but if mon says no, that is it.

With each point the guys slump a little more and the girls smile more. Then I point out that is okay because since they are so much stronger and tougher they will continue to support us. We just need to show some gratitude.

Over 52% of college educated women voted for Trump. Your argument holds no water. They clearly voted against their own best interest. That ain' smart on any scale. They are just as stupid as men.

They have had it trained out of them in many cases as they are part of fundamentalist, read not allowed to question or go against their husband. But then, this also supports my point because what man, especially in our age of toxic masculinity would allow themselves to be subjugated that way but still be supportive?

The fact is we should all treat each other as honest equals. This is another harm we can lay at the feet of religion.

Was this a sociology or psychology class? While I believe you have a lot of valid points, I wonder what the class was and the context in which is was brought up in??

It is Speech/Drama/Debate class and we cover a lot of social issues and community involvement. We began by talking about Kavamsigh and the #metoo movement.

While I do agree with your post here, I do question your motives...

You follow 65 people, about 60 are women.
You're married, why following so many women? Could be you're running game here. I'm just saying...

I do follow mostly women, that is true. That is because I have always been able to communicate with women better than men. All of my life it has been that way. Very few men have I met that I can hold a conversation with, we usually disagree too much or just can find very few things to relate on. Obviously you read my bio to see that I am married, very happily. I am here for community and would like to meet others in real life because I enjoy actual conversation not typing. However, conversation is all that I am looking for. I cam understand how someone that does not know me might suspect my motives and think I am running game, but I have no interest in anything but honest, intelligent, challanging conversations.

I disagree with most of your points, and would suggest that you under rate men as a whole.

If anything my experience tells me that I overrate men. I have especially noticed that the ones that protest the most are the ones that actually prove my points.

Sounds right to me especially about having kids!

It’s not one or the other, and I suspect the honest know better.. Humans are a team, when successful, with assignments due to capability. There is no ‘tougher,’ it’s shared. The requirements of combat or the hunt are surely equal to childbirth and monthly pain.

Sounds like a childish stunt introducing it within an academic realm. In this case, it appears ‘the teacher’ needs replaced..

Toxic masculinity much? Feelings hurt? To compare hunting to childbirth only proves my point because, one it proves you have no true idea of any part of childbirth. Two, you ignore that women also hunt and are in combat. Three, one is absolutely nothing like the other. I have heard some absolutely stupid arguments from my students, but this takes the cake.

@KDrake ...sounds like a smarmy ‘professors’ way of scoring points with female students.. Ulterior motives included. Amid adults, you don’t get to have your cake, and eat it too ~

@Varn actually it is done for them to have a better understanding of communication and to give them a better grasp of literature. The added bonus is that it reduces the mysogeny that had been taking place.

@KDrake No sale.
