My adulting is done for the day, I want a fireplace...
i guess, i'll have to settle with having cats over for the season.

Cats are warm, too. Somewhat difficult to roast marshmallows over, but still nice.
@DoctoralZombie maybe, for the curling up part. i don't know about having cats around a fire. i'm a poor city bear. maybe, that's the one time these critters won't wanna get in the way. a fire, however, would be nice.

It is a hot fire, warm beverage day for sure
I remember as a child, after walking home form school on a rainy day, curling up with a bok in front of the fireplace to warm up. That is one of my few fond childhood memories.
