Aren't young people amazing? Just watching students (18+) here at university. They don't care about race, sexuality, gender, ability...they just get on with each other. Its lovely to see.
Yeah, I was surprised when I had some transgender fridns over and my (college age) nephew really got along with them.
This is especially funny because when my father was alive and had peopel from teh Mormon church over, he'd vanish up to his room.
He said my transgender friends were more interesting and generally more "normal".
I find this to be true, of the young, in general. It is refreshing and hopeful. Then I remember the young of the 1960’s and 70’s and wonder what happened to them. I hope today’s generation does not allow life to narrow their minds, as it did, it seems, my generation.
I agree totally. I sure don't see that my generation did anything great.
I see so many many people moaning about young people and how they're all a bunch of mollycoddled snowflakes who wouldn't last two minutes in the real world and have no common sense.
My personal experience of them has been rather different - 99% of the time after I've been talking to someone under the age of 30, I feel hopeful about the future.
