Anyone have any experience or knowledge with Canadian immigration? Very serious, my oldest is transgender and my middle child is autistic and I'm scared for them under a nationalist regime.
Depending on the area (Cape Breton Island is one) you may be welcomed...other areas you can ask.
Have passports & develop a correspondence with a realtor or 2 in the area you choose, then at the border you can say, "I have an appointment to view" rather than asking for asylum. I keep a full tank of gas & passport in my tiny RV, just need to add my pills, dogs & fresh dog food to be on the road!
