Global Warming and Fake Science
By Norman Rogers
"About 10 years ago the brand name global warming was changed to climate change. The reason was simple. The Earth was failing to warm. An additional benefit of the climate change slogan was that everything that goes wrong with the weather can be blamed on climate change, caused by burning fossil fuels."
It amazes me that otherwise intelligent people devoutly believe in the climate-change/global-warming psuedo-scientific nonsense.
The only people who call it global warming are the ones trying to claim it's not real. The reason it is called climate change now is because it is a more accurate term. That's how science works. We have more evidence now and have learned that it's not just a gentle even warming around the globe. It effects the climate drastically.
Every sorce I hear says its happening much faster than was ever anticipated by the scientists who originally started drawing attention to it.
It hasn't warmed much since 1998
When "scientists" continued livelihood depends on spreading alarm, I'd be a bit skeptical of what they are saying.
@doug6352 I can find way more links that say it is a problem. Scientists are not getting rich promoting climate change.
Finding one scientist who disagrees does not mean all the other ones are wrong. Roy Spencer is an extreme outlier in his stance. It seems more likely he would be the scientist trying to get rich or mabey he just enjoys the attention.
Attitudes seem to be changing but so does the climate. I hope you are around in 30 years and remember what side you took.
@MsAl in thirty years when I am 105, perhaps I’ll send you a recipe for fried crow.
@MsAl scientists may not be getting rich from writing reports on global warming bit 1000s make a good living thanks to govt grants.
I have had serious doubts for years. But I find that most people feel most comfortable going along with the majority regardless of the facts.
Apparently we are in a slight warming trend. No one knows how long the trend will continue or how much of the warming can be attributed to human activity.
Even if the trend continues it is hardly enough to cause alarm.
I refuse to be afraid!
