There has been some interesting arguements I have read where they made the case AGAINST any "war on drugs" (ie legalize and regulate the whole shebang).. I.E.: prohibition has never once really worked, it just hides the problems until they are big problems..

Myself IMO I don't think drugs like meth, heroin, crack etc should ever be legalized as they are too addictive and can kill way to quickly..
But I grok your point.

The point of ending criminalization across the board of even hard drugs isnt to make them more prevalent, its that keeping them illegal does no good because it only hurts the people with mental and physical problems that need help not punishment. it helps organized crime by making it a void only they can fill in exchange for inflated price and violence. Other countries like Portugal have had huge success in fighting addiction and lessening violent crime by legalizing all drugs for example. Almost no one ever ODs there now. By making it not illegal to admit your problem people get help a lot sooner instead of being locked up.

The only time you get hospital supervision is when you OD.... Do you REALLY want to go there?

Even meth and heroin?

The short answer, No. there’s tens of thousands of drugs that people have no idea about in regards to dosing and side effects. America is an incredibly litigious society. There’s already thousands of people dying on ill gotten prescription drugs. Who would foot the bill for all this experimentation. Would you expect a physician to accept responsibility for this? No hospital or physician ever would. They’d be shut down in a hurry.
