The other day I got into a little accident it was my mistake I was riding my bike to work and I hit the curb floor my bike scratch myself up pretty bad have a couple of stitches on my chin I broke my clavicle but I'm in good spirits and I'm good. I'm getting tired of people telling me that it was God's will that I'm still alive , it couldn't be the fact that I'm athletic and in good shape and I turn my body right before I hit the ground, it couldn't be me that made the blow not as severe as it could have been it had to be God's hand that saved me what a load of s*** I'm getting so tired of not being able to take credit for the good things that I do for the good luck that I have because I'm intelligent and I make the right choices it's all God's will I'm so tired of that

OUCH! Poor you! How fortunate, though that the lord god of the entire universe had time to leave climate degradation, war, famine, poverty, sin and corruption on the table while paying attention to YOU!

Maybe you should be thanking God for giving you the capacity to critically analyze your condition instead of having a bunch of terrible learning disabilities...? Or that you weren’t born without arms and legs so u could actually ride the motorcycle in the first place?? ?
Hahaha I should mention I’m being sarcastic as I definitely feel u on how sore that subject can be. That is something one of my old sunday school or high school teachers would’ve said had that been me in ur shoes though lol. Hope you’ve healed up completely and thanks for making the point that ppl shouldn’t feel guilt for accepting credit for accomplishments and abilities!

These are people who think all good things come from a god and anything bad, well you know. To play their game, why didn't their almighty god prevent you from hitting the curb in the first place?
I'm glad you're still and good spirits, and hope you recover well. They probably looked at you and assumed you're a believer. They don't understand that not everyone believes in a god or are religious. It's like speaking a foreign language to them.

T.G.I.F (Thank Goodness I'm Fantastic), but the zombies amongst us are too blind to see...lol

Amen to that lol. But seriously I get that religion makes you feel like it's never you and it's always God. No, it's the choices that you made, you deserve all the credit!!!

And the weirdest part is that all the bad things are blamed on people.

I agree with monkey. If a bad event has a positive outcome it's God's grace but if a bad event has a negative outcome it's God's will and all will be made right in Heaven. What a load of s**t. If Yahweh is real and he wants me to know he exists he had better do a bit more than ancient scriptures voted on by men to create a Bible. If that's the evidence I am given to accept that much of science is a load of crap then just get it over with and stick me in hell now

"God works in mysterious ways" is a phrase that I've heard too many times.

Wow glad to see you survived. It's sad that people will give God credit for saving you but not for causing the accident in the first place!

Right on. Why is it that after every plane crash (at least with survivors), those that didn't die thank god for their good fortune, but NEVER blame god for killing the others?
