Education is not expensive - the problem is that people have turned it into a money-making scheme to bleed everyone dry. If everyone was educated properly, they'd realise that and they'd redesign the whole rotten system.

It depends on what kind of education. The conservative style of pushing creationism, racial superiorities and single view of history is harmful to all. Also, true education is often so expensive it is out of reach of many areas. Education is a resource and, as such, it is limited. We cannot keep adding humans to the planet and be able to give them all the resources we all need to thrive.

We did try ignorance in the South and flyover country, it got us Trump. A bad deal for everyone.
