Many people have no relationship with the unforgiving. If you live in the social layer, you're surprised by the unforgiving.

I do not understand what your comment means.

However, I will say that I do not believe in "forgiveness". I think it's a completely bullshit concept.
I believe that you either get over whatever it may be, or you do not.
I don't go along with any of that feel-good nonsense about needing to "forgive" anyone of anything, or ourselves of whatever, so we can move on with our lives.

I think far too many people believe that being "forgiven" of anything, absolves them from the consequences of their actions. If people are permitted to forgo the consequences of their actions, they will repeat the offending behavior with impunity.
Forgiveness just means they've gotten away with whatever they've done.

I also believe that religion and pseudo-psychological bullshit have perverted the concept to the point where it no longer means anything of any significance.

If you take someone on a 2 hour hike out in the desert, someone who has never been out of their comfortable social layer, you realize how exposure to the unforgiving elements (the desert, hiking, exercise, whatever) surprise you, shock them.

@celticagent Why would anyone even do that?

@KKGator I'm just saying if you did. Like if you took a friend on a hike.
