It is possible that the human species has reached its capacity for evolutionay fitness for its envronment(i.e. this planet). If so, it will go the way of other organisms that exceeded their evolutionary fitness.and became extinct. The only question is how much damage to the planet will the species do before it reaches this event and how many other species will it drive to extinction along the way. Nature will persevere and come out the otherside. Definitely different, but still there.

Regardless, extinction is a distinct possibility. Its not bad, its not good, it just is the wsy of nature and evolution. Dont disparage our fate. It happens to all dinosaurs, sooner or later.
