Not so long ago, I felt that Love was so very close. I could feel her hot breath down the nape of my neck, that slight tang of moisture from her lips, not quite touching, but close enough for the electricity to flow.
I could smell her, and I am happy to share with you what Love smells like: a hot, sultry summer's day with a cool breeze that carries a scent redolent of jasmine, gardenia, narcissus and honeysuckle.
The electricity was all around me-I could not possibly say the wrong thing, do the wrong thing. I was hitting on all cylinders, creativity flowed out of me. I spoke in poetry, I was the wise sage with every answer to any problem at work, my heart overflowed with kindness and compassion for those around me.
But....I had to see for I so wanted to look upon her face. And just like Orpheus, it proved to be a fatal mistake, that turning around....
