Is anyone beside me really happy Thanksgiving is over? Constant people from dawn to dusk from last wednesday nite until Sunday morning . On Sunday I did my 5 mile walk and on the way back stopped at my favorite bar and was the only person there . It was wonderful.

My stepson and I caught each other in the midst of a relieved FINALLY sort of reaction as the door was closed on my stepdaughter / his sister after a 3.5 day visit from her. She is currently our leading "difficult" family member. Constantly picking totally needless fights with her mother and brother over literally nothing (she knows better by now than to try my patience). She did it this time despite having her boyfriend with her, a really nice young professional man who would have been quite a catch for her but after observing the family dynamic, I suspect he will run for the exits.
It's too bad, because apart from her, we really enjoy Thanksgiving, and this was without doubt the best Thanksgiving ever from a culinary perspective. My wife and step son did the planning and cooking, and they worked marvelously together.

......although having the one could account for doing the other. hehe
Yes - I'll be glad when the entire holiday season is over. Too commercial, too phony, yeah, I know, I'm a grinch....

I am not a fan . I like the lights and the tree and egg nog. Lol . When I walk in the bar my drink is poured before I am seated . I do enjoy that but nobody yells hey Norm.
@Bigwavedave .....well that would be a little weird for them to yell Hey Norm since your name is Dave. hahahaha
I love my family but I also love getting back to my routine...yeah...glad it it over and the food is gone...and it is once again peaceful and quiet in my house.
