All those people are there due to the US foreign policies in South America.

I want to know why we're under the impression that human beings from so far away are aware of our immigration laws. Especially if they're from an area lacking in internet. There are swaths of the US that doesn't have internet. Wouldn't the logical approach be to meet them with a herd of lawyers and social workers to get them processed and applications for asylum? I mean, does your average US citizen know the immigration laws for any country in south america? No? Then why on earth would these people know our laws? Since when does a foreigners lack of knowledge of the nuances of our laws deserve to be gassed and other violence? If you saw a group of well armed military style people rushing you wouldn't you defend yourself or try to flee? Why can't we just be normal human beings?
