Is anyone else being pelted with emails and other messages demanding donations today? I know that it's Giving Tuesday, but give a guy a break! I already did all the donating that I am going to do for the rest of the year.

Duluth Trading sends me three or four emails a day despite my attempts to get off their list so a few charities hitting me up today doesn’t faze me.

facebook’s plastered with them.. I wonder if ‘they’ know I’m going to hold it against them…

I don't give out my phone number, and I have an email address specifically for internet forms, so if it gets sold to a marketing company, I never see the spam.

Never give a phone number or email for voter registration or to a political group. They will sell the information.

Sadly, I have been sending emails to spam that are from organizations and candidates I support.

They brought it on themselves with daily emails requesting a donation. Reminds me of a nagging toddler.

Same here haven't sent them to spam yet though.

I delete and/or hide all those notifications.
I don't like being solicited for donations to anything.
I also don't like "organizations" that spend money on marketing themselves.
I'll choose whichever charities I care to donate to on my own, thank you.

Yes, and then they like to tell me how generous I should be.

I get them every single day, as I made the mistake of donating to a number of causes a couple of years ago, now they are on me like flies on rotting meat. They over-play their hand more often than not.
