So grateful. Today is the second anniversary of the day I decided I wanted a divorce, and I was thinking this morning about how much better my entire life is. I have wonderful friends and family, my kid is doing great, and I am so happy to have my freedom, autonomy, and joy back in my life! I'm happier now than I have been in at least 15 years!
Great to read this. You had it in you to change your life around. Now reap the rewards. You made the right decisions. You followed a path that was right for you. You're collecting more and more good memories. Don't let go and boldly move forward!!
I will never let go again! I've remembered my value and I will not allow myself to forget it ever again.
@Nottheonlyone you're awesome!
@Lukian Pfft. You're awesome!
Never been happier, or more economically secure, than right now! Excellent boyfriend too! 3 years ago, at around this time, wrote the ex, full of graitude about how his affair improved my life...NOT sarcasm, heartfelt!
Good for you! I'm still not completely over my divorce, since I wasn't the one who initiated it, but I'm continuing to get better, and I have learned a lot.
I'm just past my 3rd anniversary. It's a good thing ?
Good and bad,I suppose,hope your child is not traumatized by the actions,but if you stayed in the marriage,how bad could it get? Mental and physical abuse? Bank accounts cleaned out? Mysterious credit card charges? Paid vacation for your ex, and his or her lover?
It was bad enough. Trust me.
@Mike1947 Living in a home where the parents don't get along is worse than going through a divorce. I speak from experience with my own parents..
@Stephanie99 You wonder sometimes,they stay together "For the children"? The kids know what's going on. The frosty silences,seldom do things together,it's sad....
@Mike1947 More watching your mother being beaten and wondering what will happen to you if you try to help.
So happy for you and I truly know exactly how you feel.
I am so happy for you!!! It's so freeing and wonderful to be able to live the life you want. Congrats!!!!!!
Congratulations. Here's to a great new start.
Good for you. Sounds like you found contentment. Are you now committed to freedom and autonomy?
Yes!
