It strikes me as bizarre that even in a group that is dedicated to eschewing credulous nonsense, I find pseudoscience and outright woo freely circulating as a subject of deep conversation. How could someone escape the swampy morass of religion only to be mired in the slime of snake oil salesmen? What a travesty for those no doubt well-meaning individuals who have finally put down the enormous waste of time that is religion only to take up another false banner and waste more time chasing blind alleys that provide no cures, no benefits, and siphon thousands of dollars and decades of vitality all for nothing. I would weep were it not the case that tears, like so much of life, are meaningless and the wasted time would be better spent on something constructive.
