Corrupt to the core. How did we come this far? It is plainly apparent that $$$ are policy, at least with these individuals, and likely the majorities on both sides of the aisle in Congress; not a staggering revelation, obviously, but further confirmation and one more example of why we need to take a serious look at the Progressive movement.

The slaveholder's argument supporting their position; to end slavery would be the ruin of their (personal) economy.
This country's foundation is based on the notion that money "forgives" all.
So why is anyone surprised?
