One of the profile questions is: "How certain are you that there are no gods?". I answered 99.9% because from a scientific point of view, nothing is 100%. That said, I am 99.99999999999999.... percent sure that there is no God(s). I am as sure as I am that there is no invisible dragon living in my neighbor's garage. Also, I detest religions.

I think of all the money made on a lottery with 99.999999 percent chance of being wrong. Just sayin.

Hey can we turn it around would you you like a 99.999999 percent chance of being right and not in the leaning scale of rewards conditioning . They will still gamble on the god exist thing and the lottery to change behavior. Surely there is a win win for education better solution. Pay you taxes or donate to good education funds?.

The Mormon lottery motto the absence of proof is not the proof of absence?.
Ps. Given enough time they can make fake evidence?

I don't really look at the question of god in terms of percentages. There is not much in the way of evidence so the question does not have much meaning. Maybe there is some since a God, like if we found out we lived in a simulation, maybe someone could call the creator of the simulation a God, but since there is no real evidence, there is no real reason to contemplate the question.

I agree, that question isn't very relevant and answering it opens the door for a debate on theory of probability which is beyond the purpose of this site.

When weather.com reports the probability of precipitation they round to the nearest 10%.
If you round 99.99999999999% to four significant digits, you get 100.0%. So I think you would be safe choosing 100%

Furthermore, a mathematician will tell you that 99.999... (with an infinite number of 9s) is mathematically equivalent to 100.

@TheMiddleWay No. The number itself is equal to 100. We are not discussing the limit of a function as it approaches infinity, we are talking about the actual number. Consult the link for further clarification. [en.m.wikipedia.org]...

Nothing is 100%. ? Step off the roof of a 20 story building. Gravity is 100% certain.

It depends which way you are looking at it 🙂)
