I am not totally sold on all this gloom and doom. The rate of warming is rather low and climate models are far from perfect. The uncertainty in predictions expands greatly as you project into the future.
Even if the predictions are correct I’m not sure of what can be done. The most promising alternative to the burning of fossil fuels IMO is LENR, or cold fusion, and that is a verboten word among the powers that be. I’ll bet ten bucks someone will attack me on this forum for saying the c word.

This is already happening where I live (NW). But this winter, so far has been warmer and drier than normal.
This report came out several years ago and I totally agree. The denial by conservatives is matched by the denials by liberals.

@TheAstroChuck I guess we are on the same page and thank you for your comments. More people here need to see these discussions. They cannot argue with your qualifications. Have you seen the equation I = PAT (Impact = Population X Activity X Technology). A lot of technology actually makes matters worse in that it squeezes our limited resources to serve more of us. It does not create more resources. Here is a book that is open to the public for viewing. I have posted this before and it is not pretty. View it if you dare.
