Hey everyone, I'm Jackson, I'm new here. I am from a heavily religious background and still reside in a religious environment, although I have been an atheist for almost 2 years. I know almost no one in my personal life that is non-religious, so sometimes it can be a bit disheartening. I hope this community can fill that gap for now. I'm looking forward to some great discussions with other open-minds!

Welcome, I'm in the same boat as you. I live deep in the heart of the Bible belt of the US, and there is almost no place I can go where a church isn't more than a block away.

I'm in the Bible belt too, and I don't think I know anyone else in my personal life who calls themselves an atheist or even agnostic. Glad to see that they're out there, even in this lovely corner of the world.
