Good conversation: Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Eric Weinstein, and Dave Rubin
Anyone else notice the contradiction in decrying identity politics while labeling yourself "left" and "right"? My main issue with anything political is that most people that promote one side or the other, tend be blind their own inconsistencies. Unfortunately, in order be part of the discussion, I'm forced take a side because BOTH sides require identity politics, which is absurd me. I would much rather vote on political issues rather than political parties. I strongly believe that the way we approach politics requires us be toxic and hypocritical.
"if the other side likes it then we have to hate it" (i'm not quoting anyone from the video, this is just meant to be a general summary), this is a common method that a lot of people from both sides tend to use.
Even though i don't politically agree with these people on many things, i do like their willingness to engage in the discourse. They have some well intentioned ideas.
Thank you for getting the main point.
