Not sure this counts, but here goes. I was in my local supermarket grabbing a few bits and bobs, singing along to the piped music, which happened to be Dean Martin's version of Let It Snow. An older lady passed alongside me and said, "I wish I could have some of whatever it is you're on - Christmas always makes me feel miserable. " I said, "Well, let's see. Give me a hug! " I hugged her and said, " There! Maybe some of what I've got will rub off on you! ". She stood there with a warm smile as I walked off and continued shopping. I have no idea who she was.

I sometimes think of my own elderly mother who said that the worst part of getting old was that she became invisible...she missed hugs and just chatting about everyday stuff...

It was smart of you to ask her to give you a hug...some people are not huggers, but obviously, she loved it! awwww

All my good deeds and random acts of kindness are done privately.

Maybe one of these days, I will show you personally some of the amazing people I've helped, but not to boast about what I did for them. I will tell you what they've done for me.

They've made my life better by seeing them do better.

that is the best part...knowing that you brightened up someone's day or that you helped them with your kindness...it doesn't take any more energy to be kind than it does to be ugly...awww...

Today I brought an after-school, healthy snack for the girl I mentored.

I didn't run over a Republican in my truck, even though I had him square in my sights. It must be the season getting to me. 🙂

Each cold and flu season, I make tissue holders, fill them with tissues, and hand them out wherever I go...I gave one away today to the bank teller and one to my waitress...

At lunch today a waitress was talking to her coworker about a $60 hoody her kid wanted for Xmas with a Redskins logo on it. I left her a $60 tip for a BLT and a Pepsi

I was waiting in line at a local BBQ stand to pick up my takeaway and check out, and there was an elderly lady in front of me at the cash register. She couldn't find her wallet in her purse, and was getting more and more upset and flustered, shaking in anxious embarrassment. When I saw what was going on I immediately told them to add her bill to mine, and I'd take care of it (it was around $9). She was shocked, teary, and hugged my neck in gratitude. She kept wanting my contact info to pay me back, and of course I told her nonsense, and that I hope she can now enjoy her meal.

I helped a stranger with a broken wrist in a cast get her gas cap off so she could fill her car
