Yes, it's a silly crusade started by a very few. That being said, I can hardly take criticism from a group that thinks there is a war on Christmas.
You never help a movement or cause by going over the top. I saw the version sung by an actress to
Red Skelton the other day, after I watched the version with Ricardo Mantalban. I doubt these women would have the same response to that version. I still don't get the uproar.

Anyone familiar with the history of the song would know it is bullshit. First the song was performed by the writer and his wife until he sold the rights. At such point it was in a movie where they sang the song but later in the movie had a role reversal. It's a cute song.
