Standard set song during my days as a folksinger. You know, one of those 50 or more songs we had to have on ready recall because invariably someone would request it. I have to say it was a bit more kind to the ears in those days and a lot easier to understand than the version presented in the post. There was a grand spread of different versions and deliveries in those days and they've all carried over to the present. Here I give you one by Sham Rock. It's a particularly playful presentation that doesn't contain the entire lyric, but then neither does the one by Thin Lizzy (what you can understand of it).
