I wrote this a while back while experiencing a tough time in my life. Enjoy!

“Standing at the edge of the cliff of my despair, I stair down into the abyss of eternity. Rising from its depths a shadowy being manifests and begins approaching me, beckoning my embrace. As it gets closer, it reveals itself to be a dark reflection of myself. With a confident and cheerful face, it reaches out for my hand. Fearful and trembling, in a rush of courage, I shake its hand. Suddenly, the being and myself become one and the ground begins to shake, the outer walls of my inhibition and regret begin tumbling down. With a smile on my face and a newfound force of will, I turn around and begin on my journey back to the new horizon.”
