@powder Brexit happened due to the EU’s allowance of uncontrolled immigration. There’s surely a few lesser reasons, like a ‘nationalist mentality,’ but from all I’ve heard on the BBC ..it was immigration, not trade.

Strange, they had nothing to fear from ‘Obama,’ his two terms were up; that sounds contrived. And yes, the Russians had their hands in Brexit like they did in trump’s election … knowing full well the turmoil and destruction each would cause..

There is no Islamisation of Europe....don’t listen to the propaganda. It is that sort of talk that is whipping up the nationalist backlash....the percentage of Moslems in the European populations is very small, don’t listen to the rubbish of the fake news broadcasts and web blogs.

@PBuck0145 Percentage Numbers, on that you can check for yourself. Europe is overwhelmingly Christian and the EU has Christianity at 71.8%. The southern part has Catholic in majority the northern half Lutheran Protestant and the extreme east Greek or Russian Orthodox. There are less people with any religion than there used to be, and in the Scandinavian countries they have a large number of atheists. There are 743 million people living in Europe and in order for Islam to overtake Christianity there would have to be immigration on such a massive scale that it would sink into the Mediterranean Sea! It is completely being used to scare people and whip up racist and nationalist feeling.

@PBuck0145 I am not incorrect, I only expressed what I meant clumsily. There are more people in Europe who say they have no religion at all is what I meant....they have no religion, such as atheists and agnostics, even in the Mediterranean countries. Yes, because there are more immigrants who are Muslims, there is an increase in the number, but it is still small percentage wise. To say that it is anything other than that, is quite frankly untrue, and is what the extreme right wing wish us to be fearful of. What you are doing is peddling fear, we don’t need any more of that...what we need is rational thinking.

@Marionville Globalism, open borders, open society, etc can potentially benefit humanity. Those benefits cannot be achieved while the existence of Islam persists.
The sole objective of Islam is its own propagation, by any means available, including violence, deception (taqiyya) migration (hijra), and high birth rates. The well-being of its followers and of humanity in general is not important to the ideology.
Well intentioned globalists are encouraging and facilitating Islam's propagation, and appear to have a cognitive dissonance regarding the consequences.

@Marionville Education. Mainly educating virtue-signaling leftists that their tolerance and encouragement of the ideology is impeding its potential liberalization and eventual expiration.
Note that opposing Islam is not equivalent to opposing Muslims as people.

@PBuck0145 That will not stop people believing in Islam. We are not going to stop Christians or Muslims believing what they believe.....no amount of education is going to do that. Would you advocate banning the practise of Islam in western countries? How are you going to actually implement discouraging the spread of Islam.....by educating those left thinking types you mention? I don’t think that will be too effective, even if you did discourage them from their liberal views.

@Marionville It is not reasonable to expect short term results. 14 centuries of indoctrination will require a century or two to reverse (assuming humanity survives that long).
