So what do you think--is this the beginning of a new Dark Age in America, or the last gasp of a dying xenephobic, homophobic, white supremecist element?

Lol no not at all and I don’t really understand why are there so many chicken little minded individuals.

I mean is it that we have an offensive and ignorant president?
Because believe it or not our country has had worse or are you disregarding the nearly 400 years of slavery, manifest destiny, or that every native peoples of this country would love to have endured a mean and insensitive white man just saying bad things and denying his own wrong doings.

Seriously for anyone to assume that we might at the beginnings of dark times is just about the most privileged thing I believe that anyone can think of.

Or the last gasp of a dying xenophobic, homophobic, white supremacist element???
Dead? Fuck they’re more live than ever and hears some really sad news they’ve existed for as long the first European encountered their first people of color and homophobia actually has been around the shortest time ironically.

But seriously if you or anyone else believes that any of those behaviors are going to cease because of a segment of primarily one society has come out says that they don’t like it and we’re going to change the way you speak ( in public ) y’all are going to be extremely upset when he’s gone and they’re not.

SMFH ?
I was born in 1970 and was raised at first in an area that was on the border of where Caucasian’s and African Americans lived. So tell me how much racial tension there was there. Let’s see Nixon was President and the Vietnam war was in full effect and then we had Gerald Ford and a very broke country.

So we elected jimmy carter who came into a global shit storm which led to getting involved in the Middle East and because we appeared to have taken Israel’s in their conflict oil imports were cut off and we were running out and that lasted for months.

Then we had Reagan for 8 years and did I happen to mention that during all almost all of my childhood we lived with the threat of a possible nuclear war?

So please forgive me if I don’t feel as though this is the worst time in all of human history because it’s not in any sense of the word it’s not.

But what it is though is that our country has become so soft and sensitive that people can’t process any form of a harsh reality. And for some reason it’s become acceptable that if you scream and cry loud enough that everyone will stop what they’re doing to comfort you and to ultra sensitive to your feelings!
Like y’all are the only ones allowed to have any fucking feelings?

Like I said “ privileged “ and if was a minority I’d really be pissed you know if they’re allowed to be pissed at your own insensitivity that is.

@Elganned Never said that I was offended but I do believe that insulted might be the right term and btw I don’t use the term “snowflakes” it just doesn’t make the sense that some people seem to believe that it does.

And the answer is no and no ✌?

@Elganned Ok dude whatever

To me, it looks like the market is going to crash very hard, putting many old companies out of business, e.g., Ford, and people will, like after the great depression, vote for people who will make changes. Corporations will lose power and people will regain it; unfortunately, there will be much suffering.

Strong possibility.

I think that's been going on for generations in ameriKKKa.

I hope it's the last gasp of the NRA and Republican, white, male politicians.

Probably both and damning for both parties. Not quite so much for the Democratic side, but still not good. It couldn't come any too soon as far as I'm concerned.

So far, I’m impressed by the outrage.. Permanent damage has been done, but the level of corruption surpasses anything in recent US history. It may be the death of the Republican party … as their ‘right wing’ eventually dumps their far-wrong wing…

I have never in my life witnessed the media so united. The nation is outraged! But it had better stay that way…

A bit of both. A lot of people will continue waking up and a lot will stay in the dark. So far mostly the ones in the dark are outbreeding anyone else but portions of them will continue to get out of their parents' mindset. Im not super optimistic or fearful either way. Same as it ever was.
