Beyond striving to survive, reproduce, and then hanging on. Seems to me all else are designed to improve that situation, or not.....

People want externally bestowed purpose, that way you don't have to figure it out for yourself. Hilarity ensues.

IMO no one needs to give life purpose. Life is inherently purposeful. Conscious awareness is the purpose.
