So why aren't you telling them ? Folks like to hear this stuff !

Different reasons really, feel unable to put across the right level of feeling but not seem weird in some cases, like for example there are people who just make me smile by doing nothing

@PhillipLee77 You make me smile. I love that you see people who make you "smile by doing nothing". Maybe you've learned thru experiences its safer to be somewhat reserved. There are families, types of people, who frown on any display of emotion. Look & listen carefully to those you like, love & respect to measure how exuberantly you can declare those feelings without making them uncomfortable. Every human wants someone to like, love, respect them!

What prevents you?

As l have grown older l have no problem telling people I love them, or respect them, or both, if that is how l feel.

For me there are people I have known, often times not even a very long time, and don't really talk to anymore other than seeing them on Facebook, but just knowing they're out there makes my life a little brighter.

I've worked with some managers that I regarded in that way. Speak to them normally in a work environment, and outside that environment try not to sound like too much of a fanboy. Hardly like I heap the same praise on everybody.

i understand that totally matey
